Yavatmal Agarbatti Project
Yavatmal Agarbatti Project has been started with the initiative of Forest Department and District Administration.
Starting from mineral funds in the district, this process will help the women in the district to get permanent employment and solve their employment problem.
The main objective of this project is to provide training and employment to the rural women of the district
Full annual income for 200 women from Darvha, Digras and Ner taluka.
Annual production of 82 tons of agarbatti worth Rs 57 lakhs.
Agreements with largest agarbatti manufacturing company, Cycle pure brand, Mysore. The company exports pooja materials and other items to 65 countries .
Each center will be run by team of women and they will be able to work as per there need and convenience.
So far 15 lakh 40 thousand has been paid to women as wages under Yavatmal Agarbatti Project.
