OBJECTIVE

• To implement the Bamboo policy effectively as a promotional agency in the bamboo field
• To present proposals to the Government for proper execution of policy, plans and functioning relating to Bamboo.
• To strengthen the mutually beneficial relations between all concerned to increase bamboo production and expansion of bamboo industry.
• To achieve the main purpose of National Bamboo Mission, To generate grants/aids for the work of State Government / Central Government and other related Societies.
• To give encouragement for notable enhancement in quality and production of bamboo produced in the State.
• To suggest plans to encourage entrepreneurs for bamboo based traditional as well as modern industries.
• To encourage quality bamboo plantation on private basis in forests to increase quality and quantity of bamboo in the State.
• To make available treated bamboo for value enhancement industries, to train the people for value enhanced production, to increase the production of value enhanced bamboo products and to establish the machinery for proper marketing such products in rural areas.
• To make available good and useful high quality plants of bamboo in reasonable rates to the people.
• To organize Seminars, Exhibitions, Industrial Fairs, Work-shops for bamboo and to participate in such programmes organized by others.
• To train the bamboo workers at Bamboo Research and Training Center, Chichpalli, Dist. Chandrapur and to increase employment opportunities in collaboration with the entrepreneurs.
• To participate in International Training Programmes / workshops / Study Tours etc.
• To send proposals to the State for establishing companies to encourage bamboo industry in collaboration with private companies, Non-Government organization and State Government working in the field of bamboo.
• To take all necessary actions to develop the bamboo based industries operating in forest areas / buffer zones of the State, such as Gadchori Agarbatti Project.
• To acquire any movable/immovable property, purchase it, to acquire on rent, exchange or build to fulfil the aims of the Bamboo Board.
• To generate Repairs funds, Sinking funds, Insurance for repair, replacement, renovation of the Society’s property as per the provisions of the rules and regulations of the society.
• To collaborate, acquire, help, and merge with any organization whose aims are partly or fully similar to the aims of this society with prior permission of the State Government.
